About Us

The Archway Way

Our roots date back to 1706 when our founding school sought to educate and lift people from poverty through education: our ambition today is unchanged.

As a proud Church of England trust, we believe that our pupils and staff are created in the image of God; each and every person is unique and of infinite worth. Our aim is for all in our communities to flourish.

We transform lives, helping children to value difference, be strong in character and attain highly.

Our Mission:

Our mission is the reason we exist.

To challenge social disadvantage, build character and deliver educational excellence.

Our Values:

  • Inclusion:  We respect and value difference.
  • Collaboration: We achieve more together.
  • Excellence:  We expect to be brilliant in everything we do.

How will we succeed?

Embody Our culture:  Embody the Archway values and behaviours to ensure everything we do is in the best interest of children, and facilitates organisational stability.

Develop Academic Rigour: Deliver academic rigour through a powerful curriculum that builds knowledge and creates intellectual and cultural capital for future success.

Develop Our Talent:  Attract, retain and grow our talent through high-quality professional development and care for all.

Challenge Social Disadvantage: Remove barriers in pursuit of our mission to challenge social disadvantage.

How will we know we have been successful over time?

  1. Our children attend, behave and attain better than their peers nationally.
  2. Our people strategy recruits, develops and retains exceptional people.
  3. Our operating model provides clarity and enables innovation.
  4. Our organisation is financially and environmentally sound, investing where it will have greatest impact on our children.
  5. Our family of schools supports others and influences more communities.
