New Free School Proposed for Nottingham – Bluecoat Trent Academy
Archway Learning Trust are consulting on a proposed new free school – Bluecoat Trent Academy.
Archway Learning Trust has been approved as a sponsor by the Secretary of State for Education to open an 11 – 16 Free School to open in September 2021.
Nottingham City has seen a significant increase in demand for primary places in recent years and this increase is now starting to move into secondary schools, with the greatest demand of secondary school places being in North / North West of Nottingham City. Archway Learning Trust is passionately committed to raising aspirations and improving life chances of the young people of Nottingham. It’s with this desire, local knowledge and the demand on school places, Archway Learning Trust can build on the experience and strengths of the Trust to expand the provision of outstanding secondary education in Nottingham City.
Bluecoat Trent Academy will serve the geographical area of North / North West Nottingham and the draft admission arrangements will support this with the majority of places being based on distance.
The consultation window runs from Monday, 28th September 2020 and will close on Monday 9th November 2020.
