Expenditure on goods, services and works is a significant part of any Academy’s overall budget.
Archway Learning Trust encourages open and fair competition and welcomes bids from new and established suppliers. All contracts are awarded on the basis of value for money and although the Trust cannot discriminate in favour of local companies, it is committed to encouraging local suppliers to compete for business.
There are a range of methods that we use for buying services, works and products. The method used will depend on the type of service, work or product being purchased, the length of the contract and its value.
The Trust can sometimes take advantage of contracts that have been let by other central government departments or Local Authorities. In particular, we use Frameworks award by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), Eastern Shire Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) and the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC).
