Aimée Tinkler started her career as a primary teacher and has worked in education for over twenty years, including extensive leadership within Church of England schools. She is the incoming Director of Education at Odyssey Collaborative Trust in Derby, following her role as Head of Education at the Diocese of Coventry Multi-Academy Trust, a mixed trust comprising 22 schools across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Her leadership journey includes eight years serving a Derbyshire primary school community, where she fostered values-led practice and community-rooted improvement. Across her career, Aimée has led local and national initiatives to strengthen school improvement, governance, and professional development within church school and trust settings.
Her governance experience includes serving as President and Chair of the Board of the Chartered College of Teaching, and as a trustee on the Derby Diocesan Board of Education. She has also worked with organisations including Ofsted, the Department for Education, and the National Society, contributing to national policy and professional standards.
