Sian Hampton – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Sian is our Chief Executive and has over 30 years’ experience working in schools in the East Midlands region. She has been active in school leadership for over 20 years and is a designated National Leader of Education. Sian has overseen the development of the Trust from one school to 11 including opening a brand new primary and a secondary free school, and a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) facility. In less than three years, the first sponsored school in the Multi-Academy Trust moved from Special Measures to Good and there are plans for continued growth. Sian is passionate about inclusive education that transforms the life chances of young people. Sian cares about the civic responsibility that every school and Trust has to serve children, parents and the communities in which we work.
Stuart Anderson – Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO)
Stuart has worked in a number of senior roles prior to becoming DCEO, including Principal, Executive Headteacher and Regional Director. He is responsible for a number of schools and the strategic leadership of standards and delivering our vision. Stuart’s highly successful career has spanned over 20 years and given him an invaluable understanding of school leadership. He led Bluecoat Wollaton to secure an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grade in its first inspection, become ‘World Class’ and become recognised as ‘Excellent’ in its SIAMS Church Inspection. He has since supported other schools to secure improvements. Stuart also has significant expertise in school inspection at both primary and secondary phases. He is especially interested in the development of school culture and curriculum.
Nathan Jeremiah – Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Nathan has been with the Trust since 2012, having started his career in IT. He is responsible for leading Archway’s operational teams including IT, Estates, Health & Safety, Cleaning, Catering, PFI, Capital Development and Major Projects teams.
He plays a key role in growing the Trust, ensuring that with every step of our development our operational services meet the needs of our academies and students. Nathan works with the DfE through the School Resource Management Adviser (SRMA) programme, leading the entire accreditation process for all SRMAs nationally. Nathan also works with a range of Trusts to support their development, growth and efficiency. He is a Trustee at Community Inclusive Trust based in Lincolnshire as well as a Trustee of his local Scout Association in his hometown of Melton Mowbray.
Sarah Goodwin – Chief People Officer
(CPO)
Sarah is our dynamic, energetic Chief People Officer with a wealth of knowledge and experience from working internationally, nationally and regionally. Prior to joining the trust Sarah was the Deputy Chief People Officer for the Government of Jersey where she led her team to be awarded the prestigious Personnel Today ‘HR team of the year’ award. This was preceded by five years working in China for the UK Government as Chief Operating Officer for the Department of International Trade (China). Committed to life-long learning, Sarah is a qualified psychometrician whose doctoral research focused on ‘corporate tribalism: leveraging the potential from tribal groups’. Sarah brings sparkle by the bucketload and is determined that all employees experience the sort of magic that we endeavour to create for the children, students and communities we serve.
Michelle Walshe – Chief Corporate Services Officer (CCSO)
Michelle is our Chief Corporate Services Officer, driving governance excellence and overseeing compliance, marketing and communications, core administration services and serving as the Trust’s Data Protection Officer. With over 20 years in education, Michelle has previously led a wide range of areas including admissions and appeals activity across the Trust, as well as delivering process efficiencies and people management of large teams. Michelle’s unwavering commitment lies in delivering an unparalleled service to students, parents, and the communities served by our Trust, upholding the highest standards of performance, ensuring both ethical conduct and impactful outcomes. She passionately believes that every initiative she undertakes should be designed and executed to empower our academy leaders, allowing them to focus on achieving educational excellence and fostering the wellbeing of our children.
Helen Lawrenson – Chief Finance Officer
(CFO)
Helen joined us in 2024 from the University of Nottingham, where she was Director of Financial Management and then Director of one of the University’s large strategic programmes. As a Chartered Accountant, Helen brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked at several of the large Nottingham/ Derby employers in roles spanning financial systems development and implementation, group consolidation, business partnering, procurement, and strategic investment / capital programme management.
Helen passionately believes that Finance and Procurement functions are vital and add great value to the organisations that they partner and support. Originally from London, Helen feels that by joining Archway, she is able to give something back to the city of Nottingham, and particularly to young people, after studying here and staying on after she graduated.
Ben Dobbs – Director of Technology and Insights
Ben has a passion for the use of the technology and data to drive change both in the classroom and in the wider organisation. He is keenly focused on delivering best value innovative IT solutions, that deliver improved effectiveness and efficiencies by working collaboratively with colleagues to understand their business needs.
One of our own grown talent, Ben forged his earlier career as a maths teacher at The Nottingham Emmanuel School, moving through senior leadership before leading our trust wide data function. Now as our Director of Technology and Insights, he uses that powerful foundation to deliver the best possible solutions for the children and students we serve.
Never afraid to roll his sleeves up when needed, Ben ensures the best possible delivery of solutions through his keen eye for detail and impact analysis.
Dave Taylor – Director of Teaching and Learning
Dave oversees the Curriculum, Teaching and Learning and Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) across the Trust, ensuring evidence-informed principles and pedagogies are exercised in practical, measurable steps. He works closely with our Deputy Chief Executive on Quality Assurance and Quality of Education, ensuring that all pupils in Archway academies experience the best possible education. Dave leads both the Central Education Team and the Implementation Group, which comprises local Senior Leaders responsible for their academy’s Quality of Education. Dave oversees teacher induction and professional development, line-managing the School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) and Early Career Teacher (ECT) programmes, and leading on the delivery of our bespoke Archway National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) programme. Leading the Literacy Team, Dave also oversees the Trust’s improvement priority that ‘Every child in an Archway school will become a fluent reader’.
