Spring 2 2020

During March we were incredibly privileged to host a visit by Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT (the schools, students and teachers network).  The SSAT networks offer membership to schools in all phases of education across the country and worldwide. Establishing strong communities of schools that connect like-minded school leaders and teachers.  For more information about SSAT and their work the link is: https://www.ssatuk.co.uk/

We were delighted to show Sue the inclusion work that we are so proud of.  She visited two of our secondary sites, Beechdale (BBA) and Aspley (BAA) and had an opportunity to meet a variety of students and staff.  After the visit she wrote:

Thank you very much for your time and hospitality on Thursday – I greatly enjoyed my visit to BBA and BAA. It was stimulating to meet so many of your senior staff – it is very evident that you have talented staff in your team. Your commitment to inclusion was apparent throughout the visit. The values of the Trust stood out, as did everyone’s commitment to inclusion and success for all.

Subsequent to that visit we have been delighted to discover that across the Trust we have won a variety of awards from the SSAT, three of our four secondaries have won awards for high achievement and one has also won an award for high achievements for our SEND students.  We are very proud of these accolades and delighted that we have been able to share them with staff, students and parents alike.
