We were delighted to attend the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday 22 February with Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd, Gleeds, Nottingham City Council, Department for Education and local councillors to celebrate the beginning of construction for Bluecoat Trent Academy’s permanent site.
Bluecoat Trent Academy, temporarily located at our Aspley Lane site, is a newly opened and already over-subscribed Free School with 420 Year 7 and 8 students on-roll and a waiting list. It will provide a much needed additional 1,200 secondary school placements in Nottingham.
The brand new state-of-the-art building will be located on the edge of Forest Fields, close to Mapperley Park on the former site of Clarendon College.
