This week we held our annual Festival of Learning, with every single colleague invited to take part in a day full of learning and development, spending time with colleagues, and having some fun!
The event, which is in its eighth year, was held across five of our academies, with our central infrastructure, inclusion, primary and secondary colleagues attending different venues depending on their role.
This year, our theme was Belonging and Growth, areas which are so important to us. Whether colleagues or students, everyone in our Archway family is truly valued.
Everyone began the day watching a video of children from across all our academies signing a song called “I Belong” which was an emotive start and a reminder of how important our work is and how we all contribute to the lives of our children and young people, no matter our role.
Morning sessions across all venues focussed on our new professional development plans, which centre on a sense of belonging to Archway, and putting personal and professional growth at the heart of our CPL offer.
Afternoon sessions were more bespoke to the teams present, and included sessions looking at our curriculum, inclusion activities and behavioural insights.
It was wonderful to see all our colleagues working together, perhaps with people they don’t often work closely with, to focus on how we can be the best that we can be.
A huge thank you goes to all those involved in organising and leading such a positive and important event.
