James is a Partner and Midlands Regional Lead for Housebuilding & Strategic Land at Freeths, where he specialises in property development for the new‑build residential and public authority sectors. He has extensive experience in land acquisition, regeneration and advising local government on major development projects.
A former Bluecoat Aspley student, James has maintained strong links with the city and previously represented the Nottingham Bluecoat School Foundation. He has been re‑elected as a Member of Archway Learning Trust by the Diocesan Board of Education.
As a Member of Archway Learning Trust, James brings valuable commercial insight, legal expertise and strategic understanding of estates and development, supporting effective governance and long‑term planning across the Trust.
