Richard has over 18 years’ experience in communications and brand leadership, holding senior roles with Egg, Capital One, EY and Citibank before joining Experian in 2012 to lead internal communications for the UK & Ireland. His team went on to win In‑House Team of the Year at the 2014 IoIC Awards. He later took on the UK Corporate Responsibility agenda and, from 2018, led Experian’s global Social Innovation programme.
A Nottingham native and former Bluecoat (Aspley) student, Richard has long supported local education and enterprise. He has served on the boards of Young Enterprise East Midlands and Nottingham College, and currently sits on the Nottingham Growth Board and the Nottingham Roosevelt Memorial Travelling Scholarship.
As Trust Vice Chair, a member of the People Committee and interim Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee, Richard brings strong leadership experience, deep expertise in organisational culture and communication, and a commitment to social impact. His skills strengthen the Trust’s governance, accountability and people‑focused decision‑making across the Trust.
