Richard is the recently retired Chief Executive officer of The Two Counties Trust which is a large multi academy trust consisting of 9 secondary schools across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Richard trained as a maths teacher and taught in a number of secondary schools along the M1 corridor in both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Richard brings the experience of 20 years experience of headship and Executive Headship to the Board of Trustees. Richard became a Local Leader of Education (LLE) in 2008 and since then provided leadership support for a number of secondary schools in the region.
In 2016 Richard led the development of The Two Counties Trust which initially comprised three secondary schools but grew rapidly under Richard’s leadership as CEO. By the time of his retirement the MAT comprised nine secondary schools serving over 10,000 students, employing 1600 staff and having an annual turnover in excess of £55million.
Throughout his career Richard has contributed to numerous professional development schemes and courses both locally and nationally. More latterly Richard has facilitated the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) for a local consortium.
